Sarah is resident in Macrae's San Francisco office, where she focuses on placing partners and groups into the Bay Area’s leading law firms. She has represented partners across practice areas, including Private Equity M&A, Public Company M&A, Capital Markets, Tax, Restructuring and Bankruptcy, Litigation, Investigations, Real Estate, and Employment. In 2023, she was recognized by Lawdragon as one of the “Global 100 Leaders in Legal Strategy & Consulting.”

Prior to joining Macrae, Sarah was a Principal at Lateral Link for ten years, a global recruiting firm where she focused on attorney placements and client services at law firms in California and managed and developed their in-house division. At Lateral Link, Sarah was chosen to travel to Ethiopia on behalf of the Boeing Community Investment Fund to meet with families of the victims of the Ethiopian Air crash and help them administer the $150M fund.

Prior to her career in recruiting, Sarah practiced M&A at Skadden where she worked with Silicon Valley technology companies and received several awards for her pro bono work in human rights and on behalf of domestic violence victims, children and entrepreneurs. Having developed a large network over the years, she understands the complexities of the current legal landscape and the challenges partners and law firms face as they advance their careers and practices.

Sarah holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law School where she received the Prosser Award in Legal Ethics and Community Property. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley and has studied at the University of Sevilla in Spain. She speaks Spanish.
