Leah joined Macrae as Chief Operating Officer in 2024 with a mandate to manage operations for the company in order to successfully execute Macrae’s vision, mission and strategy, achieve revenue and profitability objectives, implement best practices and process improvements, and continue to achieve and exceed Macrae’s cultural and non-financial objectives. Her wide-ranging responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s global team of recruiters, managing the internal recruiting and marketing functions, and working closely with the Chief Administration Officer and Director of Data & Research to help continually advance the firm’s use of technology and data. She also serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. She is based in New York.

Prior to joining Macrae, Leah was Managing Director, Core Services and Chief Innovation Officer at Burford Capital, the world’s largest provider of commercial legal finance. At Burford, where she worked for nearly a decade, she oversaw technology, data integrity, information security, project management, software development, research services, operational risk, facilities management, and office administration. Her roles prior included serving as Chief of Staff at Bridgewater Associates, Director of Business Process Redesign at Dechert and Director of Change Management at Jackson Lewis, among others.

Leah practiced law for seven years as a litigator in New York before turning her attention to business operations. She graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Brown University, as well as a certification in Business Process Management from Boston University.
