Ka’iulani joined Macrae in 2023. As a Knowledge Manager in Washington, D.C., she provides support to the firm’s global management team as well as direct assistance to recruiters in the D.C. office. She also enjoys collaborating with colleagues on firmwide projects.

Ka’iulani brings substantive legal experience to her work at Macrae. Prior to joining the firm she worked for the Department of Justice, where she supported the Disability Rights Section. Her responsibilities included analyzing data from internal and external stakeholders, speaking with citizens about their cases and complaints, conducting case research, creating accessible documentation, and helping create systems to keep the teams organized. She previously served as a Domestic Immigration Coordinator for a large private company, performing legal work that included supporting immigration attorneys and completing documents and visa forms for employees relocating to the U.S. In addition, she assisted the company’s International Immigration Coordinator by meeting with numerous embassies to obtain updated files and information.

Ka’iulani holds a B.A. in Criminology and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from George Mason University. During her undergraduate studies she served as a legal intern for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and a legal assistant for a D.C.-area boutique law firm. In addition to her passion for law, Ka’iulani is passionate about dancing. A professional Polynesian dancer, she ran her own dance school prior to Covid and hopes to re-open it in the future.
