Gabby joined Macrae as Director of Marketing in 2024. She oversees all marketing and communications functions for the firm, with a focus on exploring strategic ways to best showcase recruiters’ knowledge and expertise to law firm clients and candidates across and within Macrae’s markets of London, New York, Washington, D.C., and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Gabby has over a decade of experience in communications, marketing and event planning with financial and professional services organizations. She joined Macrae from global recruitment firm The SR Group, where she was charged with relocating from Hong Kong to New York as the company’s first marketing professional in North America to develop and execute its North American marketing strategy. Prior to this, Gabby worked for the CFA Institute, Deloitte, and Vistra. Her roles at these firms, where she focused on B2B and B2C marketing as well as all facets of corporate communications, led her to develop deep expertise in executing both global and regional marketing programs.

Although she grew up in Hong Kong, Gabby attended Cardiff University in Wales, where she earned a BSc in Geography and City Planning before returning home to begin her career in marcomms.

Outside of the office, Gabby enjoys playing and coaching field hockey socially. A longtime advocate for women’s sports, she played field hockey in her school days and throughout university, while also representing Hong Kong at the international level.
